Amalfi

The beautiful Amalfi Coast has a breath-taking scenery of natural landscapes overlooking stunning blue Mediterranean Sea. With only two-and-a-half-hours flight, it’s a perfect close getaway with plenty to explore, or you can just sit back and relax on the beach with a cocktail.



 

So, what can you do?

• A visit to Sorrento offers you the picturesque town with streets lined up with hundreds of Lemon related products, as this is what Sorrento is famous for, Lemons. You can grab some lunch and wash it down with the local Limoncello.




• Take a boat trip around the small Island of Capri. Take in the sea air as you sail around the Island and visit the famous Blue Grotto. (Just mind your head as you enter the tiny cave in a smaller boat).

• For some History, take a trip to Pompeii. The ancient city that was destroyed due to the eruption of the Volcano of Vesuvius. A must see for historians.

• The Amalfi Coast is a hotspot for celebrity honeymooners. • Loggerhead Sea Turtles surround the Gulf of Sorrento. • In 1997, The Amalfi Coast was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. • Due to its beauty and luxurious lifestyle it offers, The Amalfi Coast has often featured in films and TV Shows, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Only You and most recently Wonder Woman and Tenet. • During the Middle ages, the towns of the Amalfi Coast were regularly attacked by pirates. • The most famous Pizza, the Margherita, was created in Naples and named after Queen Margherita Teresa Giovanni after her visit in 1889.
